Due to a fanfiction I'm writing I got acquainted with Russian and Ukrainian history, and it's very interesting
Here we have a family battle: Ivan as the Russian Empire vs Katyusha as the Cossack Hetmanate of Zaporizhian
The Cossack Hetmanate was a first free Ukraine, born in the middle XVII century.
The cossacks at the time were subjects of Poland, but they allied with the Russian Empire and, won the war against polish-lithuanians, managed to create a state for themselves.
However, the czars soon began to spread their influence over this new state, and ukrainians cossacks fought several times against russians to preserve their liberty.
In the end tough, in 1775, the Sich of Zaporizhia, the capital-fortress of the cossacks was razed to the ground by the troops of russian empress, Catherine II, and Ukraine "became one" with Russia...
The eyes of Ivan here are really cold... He seems so ready to crush even his beloved sister...
She fought bravely though...

Can you make same for "Kingdom of Imereti vs Ottoman Empire" (Kingdom if Imereti was Georgian western Kingdom, Georgia from 1490 was like Germany, yet less complicated, only 4 kingdoms instead of hundreds, later 3 (2 of them unified) the reason, I said bc Battle of Khresili, which Imereti, alone won and gained independence against still mighty Ottomans.
